The Mission of This Role
As a senior engineer within our Codemod Studio team, you are on a mission to empower all engineers in the world to instantly create sophisticated code automation bots built on top of different codemod engines with the help of cutting-edge AI and a delightful devX.
Reporting to our senior founding engineer, you will work closely with the codemod champions in the community to understand their pain points firsthand and build a product they love and use every day.
This role is a chance to join our mission-driven startup at the ground level right before we lift off and shape how we serve the world's top innovators. We are seeking someone with technical depth, customer empathy, and a passion for pushing boundaries.
Responsibilities
- You will own the e2e of a performant web app called codemod.studio and leveraging the state-of-the-art AI & LLMs, you make codemod creation a breeze that even a new CS grad user feels they are a codemod champion!
Qualifications
- 5+ years working in software development professionally, with 1+ year of recent experience building with TypeScript and 1+ years with Next.js.
- Experience of building LLM powered apps
- Experience of building distributed systems and containerized application development.
- communication skills: you have great communication skills both written and verbal.
Nice to have:
- Strong computer science foundation, programming languages, AST, data structures, compiler theory.
- Track record of large code migration and modernization projects, ensuring business continuity and reliability during and after the migration.
- Experience of building and using “codemods” for large scale code changes.
- Product-minded and interested in automating repetitive tasks to expedite migrations for future clients.
- Natural problem solver: in face of complex technical problems, you always come up with innovative solutions.
- Successful track record of working and communicating directly with customers.
